Western saddle fit involves both horse fit and rider fit. Saddle tree shape, gullet and bar characteristics affect the horse, while seat size and saddle style affect rider fit and comfort. Do not rely on seat size alone to determine whether a saddle properly fits your horse.

Keep leather away from direct heat, harsh cleaners and prolonged soaking. If leather becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat. Clean it appropriately for the type of leather and condition it lightly when needed.

Avoid excessive conditioning. Too much oil or conditioner can soften and stretch leather more than intended, which is especially important with structured products such as holsters, belts and collars.
