Leather Belt Size Quick Guide
Getting your belt size right is simple – and it makes a big difference in comfort, appearance and how long your leather lasts. Use this quick guide to dial in the correct size before you order.

How to choose the right belt size
Measure from:
- Point A: where the buckle meets the leather
- Point B: the hole you use most often (usually the middle hole)
Quick size formula & fit rules
Waist size + 2 inches = belt size.
Example: If your waist or jean size is 34, choose a size 36 belt.
A good fit should follow these basics:
- The middle hole should be your normal tightening point.
- Most belts have 5 holes spaced about 1 inch apart.
- You’ll usually have 2–3 inches of belt past the buckle when worn.
Why the right belt size matters
- Feels better and doesn’t dig into your waist.
- Looks cleaner – no tail that’s too short or wrapped halfway around your belt loops.
- Helps your leather last longer by avoiding overstretched holes and stressed stitching.
